Our client's Mining & Metals Business Unit currently has an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Electrical Engineer in our Saskatoon office. Reporting to the Manager, Electrical/Instrumentation and working alongside other team members locally, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to provide support for a wide variety of project and departmental functions. With 460 staff, the Saskatoon Mining & Metals office has served the Saskatchewan market for over 40 years. The Saskatoon office is a regional center for the mining and mineral processing industries. It specializes in both domestic and international potash and uranium projects. Responsibilities: · Providing electrical discipline leadership on medium to large scale industrial projects · Performing power system engineering design on light to heavy industrial projects · Reviewing project documents for scope, presentation, and technical accuracy · Assisting with manpower planning for capital projects · Providing estimates for engineering work · Performing capital cost estimates · Providing field support to on-site personnel and the construction management team Qualifications · Electrical Engineering degree with low and medium voltage experience · Design and Engineering controls experience · Minimum 10 years Industrial power systems experience in light to heavy industry · Ability to register as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) in the province of Saskatchewan · Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment · Ability to work in both design office and operating plant environmentsListing originally posted at
